I've made a Zen Vision W 'super vision' with this 120gb hard drive twice now. Works perfectly and takes the standard capacity way beyond the 30/60gb they came with as standard. You do have to be careful though, the drive is too big to fit the casing without leaving off the light alloy cage and the rubber bumpers. I used plastic sheet underneath to make sure the mobo and hard drive were insulated from each other properly and then some small foam blocks cut to ensure the hard drive would not move. I also attached a little roll of electrical insulating tape to the plastic upper case just to make sure & keep everything from moving around. Job done. The only iffy bit is inserting the ribbon cable. You have to be careful not to use too much force and get the cable in squarely. Other than that it's a heck of a cheap upgrade. I'm vbery pleased with it. (I would also add that I was informed that there are 2 versions of this drive, one locked and one unlocked. I had to return a non working drive I was subsequently told was locked - I couldn't get the Zen to see it and nor could my PC - for an unlocked one. Buying from easyshopping08 was nice and simple, they were very helpful in replacing the non-working drive. I also bought one of these from lejclip, again excellent service)Read full review
Decided to go with it since I bougt a good business notebook, but hdd was too small. It also had 2 mb of cache and worked rather slowly. I went on installing another OS, enlarged RAM to 2gb to take stress of the hdd, this toshiba features 8mb of cache which is also rather important. It is a good variant for computers, like I have - 12" with hard drive and optical drive. It gives a good balance of storage solutions - you can write data on dvd disks to save space and carry around your business files and something extra. Larger capacity drives were too pricey for me, that is why I went with this solution and I do not regret it. Overall I would recommend buying this item, it is a nice thing for its price.
Purchased to upgrade a 60G Gen 5 Video iPod to double the capacity. The drive is the same brand and size as the original iPod 60G drive and fit perfectly. The drive runs excellent and provides the same performance as the original. This drive is reliable and quiet with a very low power consumption with long run time. Recommended for 30G/60G Gen 5 Video upgrades as well as certain HP, other branded laptops and other applications for 1.8" IDE/ATA-7 interface drives. Make sure to check that your application (laptop, video camera, iPod or external drive enclosure) is compatible with this drive as the Gen 5 Video iPod supports up to 128G IDE/ATA-7 drive only and there are several different ZIF/LIF interfaces. Some may not be compatible with your particular application. Check the manufacturers website for details and specs.Read full review
I have a tablet that requires a ZIF interface. I purchased this drive as a backup in case the tablet's SSD dies for some reason. i plugged this drive in and set up an OS and it worked just fine. i really saw no speed difference between the SSD and this drive but that could just be the tablet's BUS speed. either way, seems like a good drive for the money.

I purchased this product, along with an adapter from Asia, to replace my 40 GB hard drive in my Thinkpad X41. It worked just as I hoped. I purchased this drive because it was the one shown in the ebay listing for the adapter. I installed it face up, as shown in the adapter pictures and it worked. The adapter does not come with instructions as to which way the cable connects, so this made me a bit more certain how to install the drive.
