Nikon finally introduces a full-framed prosumer digital SLR, the D700. Order one now (check out Adorama – they are taking orders now) because new Nikon’s sell out quickly. At $2999, it sits squarely between the $4999 D3 and the $1649 D300. Incidentally, I’m selling my D300 on ebay as well as a couple of lenses under the seller name ‘rcgrabbag’ (what else). Will I get one of these D700’s? I dunno. I have a Nikon D40 and love it. It’s what I use 99% of the time. Anyway, in case you’re interested:
