Walthers Super Chief

Walthers has begun shipping its newest version of the Santa Fe “Super Chief”. The latest offerings utilize a new “plated” finish to more accurately simulate the look of the stainless steel skin of the prototype. As of this update (May 2011), Walthers has completed shipping the entire set, finishing up with the Warbonnet F3 diesel A and B units. (more…)

Tamiya Super Champ (1982)

The Super Champ was an update to the SRB (Special Racing Buggy) chassis and was the last of Tamiya’s ‘heavy metal’ buggies. After the Super Champ, plastic would reign supreme as the structural material of choice for Tamiya’s off-road buggies.
